2023 Community Event
NonSuch Studios, Nottingham
14th and 15th October, 2023
10AM – 5PM

Our 2023 Event will be held at the NonSuch Studios in Nottingham,
You can find out more about the venue here.
Are you coming?!
In the feedback from our last event, the consensus was for a bigger and better event… So that’s what we’re doing. This year the event will be across a whole weekend!
Some of the activities you can look forward to include: getting a peek at some new products in the analogue industry, making connections with new and long-standing companies, learning about new techniques from brilliant workshop hosts, connecting with fellow analogue shooters on photowalks, perusing a serious selection of films and cameras to consider picking up, and more!
We have two-day tickets available but also Saturday-only and Sunday-only tickets for those of you who can only make one day. Tickets are fully refundable until September 30, 2023, which gives you flexibility but also gives us enough time before the event to offer it to the wait list.
Last year we sold out so run, don’t walk to reserve your ticket.
The above link will teleport you over to Analogue Wonderland’s webpage where we have set up the mechanics for processing ticket sales. Analogue Wonderland is sponsoring the Spotlight event, including the infrastructure for collecting ticket sales. However the Analogue Spotlight is run as an independent organisation (you can learn more here) with decisions made across the committee.
We’re so excited and cannot wait to see you there!

Workshops
How To Develop Black & White Film at Home with Silverpan Lab
Silverpan Lab (Bristol-based) will be running a workshop on both days to guide attendees through the process of developing film at home. Perfect for beginners, as well as anyone looking to refine their technique or ask questions to the experts. Workshop is included in the ticket price. Learn more about Silverpan Lab here.
If you are planning to take part in this workshop, please bring a roll of exposed black and white film with you to develop!

Cyanotypes with Little Vintage Photography
Rachel from Little Vintage Photography will be leading a drop-in cyanotype workshop where you can learn about working with this medium but also make something for yourself to take home! Extra fee may be charged to cover the cost of take-home materials. See more of Rachel’s work here.

Learn to Develop with Caffenol hosted by Leicester Lo-Fi
Leicester Lo-Fi will also be there running a Caffenol developing workshop. Learn how to develop black and white film in a more sustainable way with coffee! Extra fee may be charged to cover the cost of materials. Check out more about Leicester Lo-Fi here.
If you are planning to take part in this workshop, please bring a roll of exposed black and white film with you to develop!
Photowalks
We are planning to have a photowalk each day of the event and will have limited supplies of film kindly given to us by one of our sponsors, Kodak! Kodak will be sponsoring photowalks hosted by local area experts Make It Easy (Saturday) and LensFayre (Sunday) that will explore Nottingham’s coolest districts, the perfect opportunity to put into practice the things you’ve learned, the ideas you’ve had…and maybe the new gear you’ve picked up from our Analogue Trader/Exhibitor Market. LensFayre and Make It Easy are both based in Nottingham so who better to show you around!
Paper signups will be posted on the day of the event.
Singles Meet & Greet
If you are attending the event by yourself and don’t know anyone, this is a perfect opportunity to make new friends! Based on feedback received last year, we are creating a space for those who don’t know anyone else attending and would like to meet new people. Led by our own Holly Gilman aka Analogue Holly, it’s time to get social!
Saturday & Sunday Schedule
Activity signups will take place on the day. We will have good old-fashioned paper lists to sign up for each workshop or photowalk. If in doubt, when you arrive and get your ticket checked/receive your goody bag, just ask where the signups are. Talks do not require signups as there is space for all!
Please make sure when you arrive that you sign up for the activities you’d like to participate in. If you need any help with this, you can find one of the organisers and don’t be afraid to ask! We will be wearing matching T-Shirts on the day and available in the main areas to answer any questions.
Please find the final itinerary here:
